Industrial Design, Interior Design and 3D Visualizations - Concept CAD Studio

Once inside, in closed mode, I wanted people to feel as if they were inside a cargo aircraft ready to take off for a dream destination. When the caravan is extended, people should have a sense of having landed. The name itself, Cargo.S, also refers to cargo aircraft.

The 'S' after Cargo means 'Soute' ('soute a baggage' in French means an aircraft luggage compartment). Cargo.S also refers to the French word for snail, escargot, ('la maison dans son dos' - 'the house in its back'). For me the caravan represents a precious cargo. It is part of your own traveling spirit and is also a comfortable and reassuring extension to your home.

My rear deck idea comes from an aircraft fuselage cargo bay door, where the lift brings the goods crates inside the plane on a moving platform. The original idea of having a slide-out extension with an oval window on hinges, inspired by the Nord Atlas 2501, was too complex to manufacture. I therefore changed it to an extending version with a retractable concertina.
